Rules for Adding Farmers

1.       Natural Farmer

a.       Should use minimum external input on his farm. Eg – ZBNF

b.      No chemicals used on the farm

2.       Preference to small / needy farmer

3.       For every location, for each produce (wheat / tomato / etc) there should be only 2 to 3 farmers. Not more. To make it viable for the farmer - Getting min order quantity to cover transport costs etc.

4.       Traders / Vendors / Middlemen not allowed

a.       Farmers helping other farmers is OK. Modest logistics fee to be charged is OK.

5.       For each delivery location, check with existing farmers before adding new ones

6.       Checklist for adding new farmer

a.       Farm visit by at least 2 admins

b.      Area, Crop List (To ensure it doesn’t clash with existing farmer)

c.       Natural farming since when

d.      How does he manage soil fertility

e.      How does he do pest control

f.        Crop schedule. Can he provide regular supply.

g.       His source of seed

h.      Pricing logic
